You can actually put a warm hard boiled egg into a plastic mold and shape it like a bunny! Hole punches for sheets of seaweed, everything we eat is going to have eyes now. I adore this sort of thing.

I love picnics, especially in my backyard . I always over pack and I like using real dishes and glasses, so lugging things out the back door is so much easier than to the beach or park. My favorite set-up is putting our giant round table top on the ground and carpeting the picnic area with a needlepoint rug and cushions for everyone. The table top sitting on the ground provides a sturdy surface for wine glasses and serving dishes, and I can load it with little white votive candles. I rescued an old Radio Flyer wagon from the curb, and once filled with ice, it will keep bottles icy cold. Can't wait to start picnicking!

I know that Walmart is the ickiest place on earth, but it's time for a visit! Norma Kamali has the cutest line of clothes at Walmart and the prices are crazy low. I outfitted Lulu with $15.00 pants and skirts, and $5.00 shirts! How I wish Target carried Norma Kamali instead, I always have a much more pleasant shopping experience there.
I remember Norma's line OMO from the 1980's, very unstructured, with enormous shoulder pads, I adored it all! I have just about given up on giant shoulder pads and freakishly big hair coming back in to fashion.

Bye-Bye Babies

It's time to say goodbye to some of my little chairs.Our home is bulging at the seams, and I simply can't talk Gar in to a bigger house, so I need to reduce the contents of our current home. Over the next few weeks I plan on being cutthroat with my collections, yikes it's awfully difficult. I know it's just stuff, and I shouldn't be emotionally attached to these things, but I am. I don't want to end up on Oprah as a person living under piles and piles of stuff, so it's time! If you would like to provide a good home for one of my chairs, you can visit my Etsy shop. Letterboxing

Letterboxing is a mix of treasure hunting, art, navigation, and exploring interesting, scenic, and sometimes remote places.

Have you ever heard of letterboxing? It has only been in North America since the late 1990's, but it's been in England since 1853. Letterboxing is an intriguing pastime combining navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a charming "treasure hunt" style outdoor quest. Letterboxing consists of following clues that you get online to find a little box concealed under a loose brick or in an out of the way nook somewhere out in public. Once you find the box, you will stamp your notebook with a rubber stamp from inside the box, then you add your own distinctive rubber stamp to the visitor journal in the box. The box is replaced for the next person to find. You will be amazed by how many letterboxes are hidden in your own community. After doing a little research, I discovered that there are over 50 letterboxes in my town and nearby cities. It's a charming little secret society going on all over the world.

Happy May Day

I love the May Day tradition of leaving little baskets of flowers for friends and family. When I was in kindergarten, I remember making paper cones and filling them with flowers. I would attach ribbon to the cones, and leave them hanging from doorknobs on May 1st.
Gone are the May Day picnics, parades, maypole dances, and all of the other wonderful traditions surrounding this day. I wonder why this holiday fell out of favor? It is perhaps the loveliest way to celebrate Spring.
