Icky Ah, I Don't Think So!
My children have about two more years left on their three year ban of shopping at Ikea. I guess we went there one too many times after we moved into our current home. We cannot bribe them with lingonberry juice or the center parts of our cinnamon rolls any longer. They now pronounce Ikea as Icky Ah! But, I am still mighty fond of these cabinets that we found at the icky place. They were already assembled and being rolled in to the clearance section when we first saw them!!! The colors are perfect and the drawers are lined with light blue felt. I put a matching sheet of paper on the inside of the glass doors to hide the crazy amount of party supplies being stashed in there.
You have to love a place where you can buy a bag of meatballs and two Svjklnsknkr cabinets!

that's hilarious! i wish i could overload on ikea but the closest one we have is about 4hrs away...don't think i don't plan road trips! i love your cabinets! xo
After studying carefully many beautiful pictures of your house and its contents the last couple of days, I find I am left with one surprising but haunting question. Who does the dusting? I am a great duster. I could come dust any time you like.
Wait til they want to set up housekeeping themselves...we'll see how they feel then.
I've never been to Ikea. What I've seen from there is always lovely, though. Your cabinets are gorgeous. Lucky you to live so close to a store. I'm hopeful that some day I'll get to go to one myself.
I can be bribed with the swedish meatballs :D (and the almond torte).
You got those at IKEA? Lovely! As usual, I have the crazy jealous over your home. Your pictures just make me happy.
I SO wish that we had an IKEA near here. When we lived our French life we'd drive to the one in Lyon.
Boo hoo. I'm glad you can enjoy it!
aaahhhh - my kids aren't hating IKEA yet - they actually ask to go! The kids' play room is a big draw though. You make IKEA look great!
Who knew what a little "icky" could do?! Love the cabs, Linda.
Honestly there are just some things one cannot resist at Icky Ah! We like to say around here... "those damned Swedes!"... in a good way, not a bad way.
seriously love the place and my kids despise it too. I still drag them there. Is that wrong? I don't care;) ha!
xoxox
