The Snoopster
We had loads of fun meeting the very lovely Snoopster yesterday! She endured the grand tour of our home and got to see first hand all of the things you can buy for a nickel!!! I envy the Snoopster's job of knocking on doors and snooping around with a camera. I think I am a non-pervy Peeping Tom at heart, and I would love to investigate how other people decorate.
We just painted our bedroom last weekend and didn't have a chance to hang our collection of group photos back up or style the room. Maybe she can come back for before and after shots.

Hi Linda! Love the pictures!! Need to see more of lulu's room. I love looking at peoples house and all their collections. It gives me ideas how to do my home. I would love to see your kitchen hutch:)Have a great night.
I love peeking into people's homes too.....especially yours! If someone came knocking on my door to take photo's I think I'd pass out - I'd need a week to tidy up first! Love the office photo!!
Was she the one who wrote the Tribune article about your home? I was fun being on the inside!
Thanks for letting us snoop. You know we love it! - Teresa
I admit it...I am a snooper, too. Infact I used to go running at night so that I could see into the charming homes that were in our neighborhood. tee hee.
YOUR home is fabulous and I just love the fun collections. Now I have never seen a dress used as a curtain before. VERY clever!!

Love the horse shoe shaped desk! Where did you find it?
Thanks! I bought Deke's desk from a neighbor. I believe it was used for wine tasting, who knew there is a dedicated table for wine tasting?
Kathy Kaplan did our Tribune article, the Snoopster is another talented person from the Trib.
The only nice part of daylight ending at 4pm during Chicago winters, is being able to spy in to homes from the street!
Our wood blinds broke in the bathroom and I haven't been able to order new ones yet. I picked up this vintage wedding dress for just $2.00 at a resale shop, and it fit perfectly on a tension rod over the window!
Is that a dress used for a curtain? I'm crazy about that idea!
Beautiful pictures.
I noticed the dress too - you are so darn clever! By the way, if I show up on your doorstep, can I have a tour too? I'd be a great snoopster. I'd venture to bet I am the snoopiest person around! It is always a treat when we get to look around at your digs, my dear. It is so lovely and perfect. In addition to the books and TV shows I've suggested you write and host, I think you should be a designer and stylist. You have such a talent for it.
LuLu's party looks lovely! But your take on it reminds me of the old cliches "oh, it's just something I threw on" "oh, it's just something I whipped up" when you see a beautiful lady in a divine evening gown in an old movie. Only you could "throw something together" that turns out as something spectacular I couldn't pull off if I planned for a year! You are magic, my dear! Okay, remember party planning is one of the books we all want you to write.

Perhaps Snoopster could be persuaded to come up north for a visit, I need some inspiration to tackle the remainder of my spring cleaning.
Those rooms are terrific--I like all the globes.
I'm a happy new follower...and loved peeking about your abode. We are currently in renovations, so I thoroughly enjoyed the decorating inspiration. You are quite a talent.
Much love...
