Queen Victoria with Prince Albert and their nine children
I went to see the film Young Victoria a few days ago and I had a fine time! A period film with plenty of dining scenes, beautiful costumes and I am thoroughly amused. I have always had a great fondness for Queen Victoria and one of my favorite books contains many of her beautiful sketches and watercolors. The Victoria and Albert Museum in London is also one of my favorite museums and it houses the best museum gift shop in the world!
I am hoping during our travels I will find antique silver lockets from the Victorian period.

Dale Chihuly is one of my favorite artists. I am so jealous of your upcoming adventures. I know you will probably get homesick but ....
OH gosh, I am just getting caught up! You are moving to China??? For how long? Do you have to sell your house or is it just temporary?
How exciting!

a brief comment to wish you a happy new year!
YOU'RE MOVING TO CHINA?!
Oh my goodness, I want to come so badly! I've been hoping Todd would get transferred for a year or two now.
You lucky girl. I can't wait to hear your stories!!!

Hello Linda,
Love Queen Victoria! Did you see the movie? What a great love story!
It was too short!
I wished they showed all the good things she did...

I just went to the V&A for the first time, and I was floored by it. I just wish I'd had the time to go back on that trip--I went there immediately after landing in London and was too jetlagged to cover the entire place. The gift shop was indeed amazing!
