Aren't these pretty? |
I am trying to figure out a project for these, any suggestions? |
I picked up a lifetime supply of crepe paper! I loved the chaos in this booth. |
I recently visited the indoor art supplies market in Shanghai. It is a crazy, cramped, and claustrophobic place. Some commonplace items are still hard to find here, but random weird items are plentiful. Packages of tiny people and paper mache fruit can be found in just about every booth. I single handedly cornered the world supply of crepe paper sheets!!! I will keep you posted on what I am going to do with all of it.

Oh I love those round cards of pins!!!!! I have a thing about those...just love em!!!! This looks like a magical place for someone from the US....
little trees stuck into small styrofoam balls that are then strung together would make a fun garland!
I love that idea!!!
Oh wow--I'd be overwhelmed by all that stuff!
I can see your mind racing...and jars filling up all over the place!
Are you stockpiling enough of this fun stuff for ALL of us??? When you return home, I expect Michael's will have a hard time keeping up with you.
What an amazing opportunity to 'treasure hunt'!!! I am green with envy.... can you see me here? I must glow in the dark!
Wonderful FINDS, Miss Linda!

Remember how I felt about the glow sticks? CREPE PAPER is in that running! OOOOH, you can make so many cool and interesting things AND HUNDREDS OF PAPER FLOWERS! Can't wait to see what your fantastical brain comes up with.
Miss youuuuu. xo
The trees are as charming as can be. I suppose you could always do what my mother did, install a model train around the perimeter of the kitchen ceiling with little diorama spots in the corners! To die for.
Hey Linda,
I'm currently in Shanghai and have been looking for an Arts/Crafts open market here. Do you happen to know the cross streets of where this place is?
Appreciate it!
