Watching Barack Obama in the last Presidential debate I was reminded of Rob Petrie from The Dick VanDyke Show. When Barack was sitting while McCain spoke I couldn't help think of Dick VanDyke's lanky elegance. I have always loved that show, there was a modernity to the Petries that you had to admire. I wonder if Michelle says Oh, baaaaama the way Laura would say "Oh, Robbbbbb"?

I think Michelle & Barack seem like a real married couple, who actually talk before breakfast and take turns doing dishes, y'know?
Never thought of that similarity, but also thought his casual, elegant pose was striking at the debate- as always. The Obamas are so fantastic, as individuals, a couple and as a family. Barack the Vote!
OMG, I love the idea of Michelle calling him Baaaama. That's going to make me giggle for days.
