Do The Math
This weekend I made sugar cookies and I had to quadruple the recipe, yikes! I got a headache from all the crazy math skills I had to whip out. I could have asked my 10 year old to help, he could do it in a fraction of the time (pun), but that would be pathetic of me. I always hold my breath while the first batch is baking. If my little reindeer start growing 20 times their original size, I know my arithmetic was a little off. Are you baking for the Holidays???

Oh man, doubling or halving a recipe is as fancy as I ever got!
We made caramel corn, sugar cookie cut outs and some spritz cookies. Fudge will wait until next week and then? All done. Really toned it down this year.
Funny you should ask! Tomorrow morning I am meeting my best friend for coffee. She is bringing me my annual container of Holiday cookies made by herself and her mother. I have been receiving this gift for over 20 years now. I am drooling, just thinking about it. I am a pathetic baker, but it just doesn't seem to matter...What are good friends for?
Peace,
Ki
Wow that is a LOT of cookies! I've been baking off and on but I'll be ordering my actual Christmas day desserts.
OOOH! Ginger Cookies. I will make some for you, Linda. There are yummy. I haven't doubled a recipe ever, would screw up the math so badly.
:D haha... I randomly punched in a sugar cookie recipe....it was awesome but as a rollinaballandsmashsugardrop cookie......NOT arollandusesugarcookiecuttercookie it really PUFFED UP......it's all in:D fun but I get ya...
i always get a little nervous about that myself, usually I will smell something burning in the oven, and realize it's my brain smoking from the exertion.
good luck with all of that!

I tried baking with SPLENDA for the first time last weekend...you use 1/2 as much splenda as you would real sugar. Conveniently, there is a conversion chart on the back of the splenda bag for when you get into 1/3 cups etc. *heehee!*
I would never be so brave as to quadruple a recipe, that takes a knack and a half! And a major in mathmatics. I make doubles at best. For sugar cookies, I just make the same recipe in three or four batches... I'm lazy that way.
