Happiness=Unexpected Cake
My lucky husband Mr. Man attended a menu tasting with Yummy Catering, they provide the wonderful food for Super Great Doll Place. They are snazzing things up for the new opening at Water Tower Place in the fall! The result of his meeting was this lovely chocolate and vanilla cake wrapped in buttercream. Mr. Man had to carry it on his lap on a crowded train and lug it home a few blocks from the station. *Note to all husbands, show up with an unexpected cake and your family will treat you like a celebrity (even if the cake is for someone named Nancy). The cake was sampled right away, and a little later, and maybe a little bit more and just a wee bit after everyone went to bed. I can highly recommend the birthday cake at Super Great Doll Place!!!

Thanks for you sweet comment on my blog, it was a lot of art in a short week but I do my best in a time crunch. Okay this is so weird but it must be the vintage jundque gods working...I was just going through all my magazines (whick is a lot)about two weeks ago while cleaning out my art studio and and I skimmed your piece again in ME. I keep every issue. I remember thinking...her kids are like mine...love to flea market on Sunday with their mom, only their house is much cooler then ours! I feel like I've been visited by a celeb!

oooooh, you are SO bad!!! How could you post a picture (A PICTURE, no less!!!) of a gorgeous, gooey, fluffy little frosted cake, and not think you were going to throw all of us into a mania to get to the bakery for a SWEET FIX???!! Very naughty. Good thing I am a wild child, and keep a box of Duncan Hines Coconut Cake Mix (and it's companion frosting) in my cupboard AT ALL TIMES for just such an emergency...
Seriously, you are too bad ;-)
