Good-Bye?!?!?!?

I received such sad news about Mary Engelbreit Home Companion. They are closing their offices until a new publisher can be found. The last issue will be Dec.08/Jan.09. It always surprised me how few people were actually familiar with this wonderful magazine. I felt like I was part of an exclusive club, people who loved reading M.E.H.C. This was a magazine that always had unique and stylish layouts, and interesting articles about a variety of Artists. The Executive Editor, Barbara Elliott Martin was the person who photographed our home. She is so creative and a complete pleasure to be around. The Style Editor, Kathy Curotto is imaginative, uber-stylish and knows how to do cool design. I wish Barbara, Kathy and all the lovely people at M.E.H.C. a quick resolution to this situation. I will keep my fingers crossed, it worked for Victoria (after a few years).

How sad is this news?! I especially always looked forward to the 'reveal' of the artists featured... Since Somerset has so much of the same, same, same, it was really interesting to see what would be in M.E. next.... what a bummer...

Nooooo! Say it isn't true! One of the only magazines worth buying these days. Sniff.

Tell me this isn't true. This is my favorite magazine. In fact, I just renewed my subscription. Would they have sent me a renewal notice if they might be stopping publication?
