Clean Start
Today I am asking myself what else I can do to reduce my carbon footprint. I will start my own organic vegetable garden, as soon as it's warm enough to plant. There is nothing easier than going out to the backyard to fetch the ingredients for the family dinner. Eating tomatoes and berries that are still warm from the sun, is just about as wonderful as it gets!
I am also making a concerted effort to reduce the amount of retail shopping I do. I ask myself if it's possible to find what I need at a resale shop first, before I head out to buy something new.
The beauty of resale shopping is that it's good for the earth, you find cooler things, and it's so much more affordable!!!

I'm with you. I love buying used things. It makes my heart happy!
I plan on starting an organic farm within the next year. Small one of course.
To me nothing better than finding used treasures and a good price. Just love it.
Yay resale! My Earth Day resolution is to buy more resale!
i'm with ya! been having tons of luck and great scores finding vintage clothes to wear for myself! the BEST recycling i tell ya!
I think your thrifting and your vintage shopping already makes a huge impact! More people should do it. You are an inspiration!

Great post!
So many people are planting gardens this year - I love it!! I have a very tiny backyard and two large dogs, so there's no room for a complete garden, but I do keep an herb garden and grow several varieties of tomatoes...The best thing ever is harvesting lots of basil for homemade pesto - I freeze it and we enjoy it all winter. :)
Love the idea of curbing retail shopping too (except for Ebay and Etsy of course, hehe!)
