Piano Adoption
I love a great bargain and I especially love free stuff! I have noticed many classified ads for free pianos over the years and Craigslist always seems to have a number of free pianos at any given time. I stumbled across PianoAdoption.com, it is a free site where you can find a home for your unused piano or get a free piano.
There is a very cool musician named Neko Case, who began collecting free pianos from Craiglist. She filled her Vermont barn with the free pianos and recorded her album using her thrifty piano orchestra.

Aw. I'm a sucker for pianos. I'm on my 3rd old one. They all play like crap but they're so pretty.
I might have to NOT tell Buddy Budderson about this lead on pianos. He's brought a cello, two more guitars and a drum set into this house over the summer. All we need is a milk jug and a washboard.
Oh, wait. I have those. Better hide them.
Thank you for the piano adoption link! I have a piano that was left to me that I have no room for and was sad to have to let go. I signed up and hopefully, someone will adopt it!
