So Long Summer
Our summer actually ended on August 25th when our kids returned to school. It was much easier saying goodbye to Summer when our temperatures were hovering in the 60's, but now we are experiencing warmer weather and it's hard not to feel a bit melancholy. I am closing up my imaginary cottage this weekend. I wonder if it would be harder to say goodbye to Summer if my cute cottage didn't just exist in my crazy head.

Nah. It would be just as hard! Love the posters of school days gone by, but they were missing a last line..back to teachers' dirty looks...Not good for school attendance, huh?
Awwwwwwwwwwwww. Keep it open just a little longer. May have an Indian Summer. :)
Hello, Linda! I am just coming back to blog land from my cottage of the mind (love that idea) and had to visit your lovely space. Love all the recent book and art recommendations. Hope your transition back is a smooth one--getting the sand out of everything has been my biggest challenge.
Dear Linda, This post made my mouth water. I am a misplant here in Florida. I grew up in the midwest and apple picking is in my blood! I miss those times and making those carmel delights! Enjoy an apple for me!
Fall always makes me sad. Even with the good smells and pretty leaves and all the rest. I miss summer already.
