Aubusson Carpet
One of my very favorite things we own is this Aubusson rug we bought at ABC Carpet and Home in NYC.
Aubusson is a region in central France known for their beautiful rugs and tapestries. In 1580 weavers from Flanders (now Belgium) took refuge in Aubusson, their work became very popular in the homes of nobility through out Europe. What I love about Aubusson rugs is the muted colors, lovely designs and durability. They are also known for making some of the largest rugs. Unfortunately my dog Buddy has still has an occasional accident and it always seems to be on the ABC rug! I am often heard yelling "why can't you ever go on the rug from Marshalls???"

Buddy's got good taste. My dogs always prefer accidents on rugs instead of bare hardwood ... I guess it's more comfortable?
Love your rug - the colors are divine!
My Oliver comes in and hikes his leg and goes on my furniture. About 10 times in a row. This is why he is only allowed indoors when he goes into his crate. I want him to be inside but I couldn't break him of that.

I love the colors in your living room! It is so peaceful and elegant but comfy! I love the rug. Pets! I made the mistake of choosing a light colored rug for my condo when I bought it. The cat yacks down the center never off in a corner where the stain doesn't show. Geeze. Anyway, your living room images - color and textures is what I am dreaming about for my living room. Thanks ag
