Comfort and Joy

Macaroons from Laduree

Limoncello Gelato from Freddy's in Chicago

Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery

I woke up this morning and checked the thermometer outside my bedroom window, it read -5 degrees. I don't remember a winter where we have not had a handful of 50 or 60 degree days. These occasional unseasonably warm days help us get through the long season. This winter we celebrate when it heats up to the 20's. Today I am turning to these beautiful pictures of my favorite pretty foods to get me through another day.

Yummy... I'm salivating. Those macaroons look especially good. I've been seeing them a lot lately on different blogs. I'm need to find a good recipe and make some :)

Ooh, I love cupcakes, even when they are not so pretty. Can you bake something to keep warm?

brrrrrr. I could not take that much cold weather. My brother lives in Chicago. Even though he lived in La. and Tx. all his life he said he loves the cold in Chicago... I don't think I would ever be able to get out of bed.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a nice message when I was sick. I love your blog and I love your vintage decor. If I had my drothers I would live in an old house and fill it with wonderful items just like yours....KUDOS.
