Oh Happy Day!

I plan on being glued to the television today watching all of the inaugural coverage. I will also make The Obama Family Chili (see below), and try my hand at sweet potato pie. I have two big boxes of decorations for the Fourth of July that I will rifle through to decorate our dining table. We are all a little giddy!!!

Oh sad day for me!!!
I was ill last night and couldn't sleep, so I overslept and missed everything!!! My hubby said I might be able to catch it on you tube.... it's just not the same. Do you know if they'll be airing it again!!??
Please let me know!

Sweet Wishes,
Sara

Dear Sara,
So sorry you aren't feeling well. I am going to guess that MSNBC will air it a few more hundred times (and that is why I love MSNBC!)
Your Pal,
Linda

I'm making chili, too! This is like the Super Bowl, but waaaaaaaaaay better.

I loved my son's comment on his away message this morning (he is away at college, and the Obama sign in my Blog is what he and his roommate made for their front yard in November)

His away message was "This countdown is way better than New Years Eve!"

We were chatting about you and Gar today... all the way in sunny Jamaica! Wondering if you were glued to the tube like us! I stayed out of the sun and watched the festivities unfold. Enjoy!

I know how you feel - I'm in love!!
Having such a wonderful day celebrating and sharing these wonderful times with my children. I even held them out of school so they could sit glued to the TV with me.
I have become an American!
Delightful images you have posted too!
Best wishes for our brand new day!
