J'Adour Ce Livre!
I adore reading Rebecca's very entertaining blog everyday and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her wonderful book. Rebecca and her very brave family relocated to a small town in France for four years, and she recounts her memories so beautifully. My parents moved my family to France when I was entering 4th grade over 100 years ago! It is amazing how she describes the schools, narrow streets and markets just as I remember them. This is the kind of book that you simply can't put down and you will find yourself laughing out loud as you read it.
From The Philadelphia Inquirer
Ramsey, along with her husband, two kids, one baby, and one very old cat, moved to France for four years, and their adventures are recounted in this delightful memoir, as Ramsey takes the mundane - such as the old woman across the street and her aged cat's health problems - and turns it into nuggets of delight

Sounds like a good read. I still have to get Amelie to watch. Come visit me for my new giveaway. This time it is a 1 year subcription to Bon Appetit.

Oh! Aren't you the kindest friend!
I'm so glad the book brought back good memories for you!
Give yourself a hug for me!

I have seen her blog. I must revisit. Thanks for sharing her with us!
Yay! I just got a copy last week from our local bookstore--I was trying to read through my pile before I bought any more books, but HAD to get hers since I read her blog, too.
Fascinating read ... I may have to look it up!
Can't wait to read it, as I love all things "France." Boy, talk about living a dream! I wish there was a way to make that happen. This summer I am going to start French lessons. That is a start at least.
PS: Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello. Is ironing the apron a bad idea? Hee, hee....
wow this is very cool
I'm going to check it out
Oh my gosh!!! I had no idea Miss Rebecca had this lil' book. It doesn't surprise me, she is such a creative writer. How she comes up with all her topics and the plethora of information is incredible. You two have very similar styles of writing. That's why I love your blogs! :)
I thought you'd like to know that I am... Dolores! A Mother Singing is my BF and she wrote about my ventures at the laundromat last weekend. Something tells me you won't be surprise with this discovery, lol!
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
Hi Linda! How neat to know that you spent part of your growing up years in France -- me too! How long where you there? I was there for a year when I was 16 - 17. It really was life-changing. I will have to look at the site you mention and for the book. Thanks for visiting our blog and leaving a comment! xo -- Sandy/rhubarb reign
