Clara Bow
I decided this morning that I had angry looking eyebrows, they appeared too pointy in the center instead of graceful arches. I went to town on my poor brows and I now have two red stripes where my eyebrows once were. When the swelling and redness goes down, I am wondering what I will do up there. Could I pull off a tubby middle aged Clara Bow look? Nope. During these dreadful economic times I may offer up my former eyebrow space to advertisers.
I just recovered from last weeks beard rash. I tried a sample of face cream last Sunday and developed a rash wherever I had applied it, unfortunately it was on my cheeks, chin and above my lip. I looked like I had a beard made out of rash. I guess it's a good thing that we only have 3 hours of daylight during the winter months.

ROFL! Thanks for the belly laugh. It was wonderful!

My skin sounds just like yours--any variation and I get rashes/zits/dryness/redness/younameit. *sigh*

Oh nooo! We've all done that at least once. You made it sound funnier than I bet you think it is!
Well, at least you can still see to pluck! I have not figured out the best way to pluck around the glasses I have to wear now to see what needs to be plucked. I have to use the feely method which is not very accurate. I need those glasses that flip down on one side so you can look with one eye through the other lens - may put that on the Christmas list.
Linday, you are so smart. The ad is a great idea. I'm gonna have to borrow it. My forehead is is well, big enough for a BigMac. This could be the answer to my money shortage. Thank you ever so much!~PJ
Big Mac Foreheads and Billboard Eye Brows! This post and the comments are all hysterical! I used to have the Clara hair do in 8th grade...just before I cut it off into an asymmetrical new wave extravaganza! I only messed with my eyebrows in a drastic way once and I regretted it ever since. I am as fair and white as a ghost. Drawing in brows never looks good when your skin is super pale.
BTW- I also have what they call a 5 finger forehead...you can basically place your whole hand, thumb included up there before touching hair or brows...YIKES!
At least you're finding the humor in it all. And at least you're still trying! That's great. Nice new music selection. "Blackbird" has long been one of my faves!
I feel your pain Linda, the last time I "trimmed" i.e slaughtered my bangs, I then felt compelled to attack my eyebrows. Needless to say, I did not have the intended end result. Things that aren't necessarily funny when they are happening make great stories later!
