Day Of The Dead

Dia de los Muertos is celebrated mainly in Mexico on Nov. 1 and 2. This is a very festive and colorful holiday to celebrate and remember friends and family who have died. The markets are filled with these beautiful sugar skulls and you make the favorite food of the person you are honoring. We always remember my Father on his birthday in a very similar manner. I make his favorite French food and we listen to his favorite music during dinner. It is a way for my children to feel connected to their Grandfather.

That's a pretty neat holiday~ I love the colorful sugar skulls, I just watched Martha making some on her show last week.
I really like that you do a Dinner for your Father, what a great way to remember him :)
