Sam & Ella

How times have changed, I treat raw meat like I'm handling plutonium.

What great photos! And I'm with you - I handle raw poultry like it's ... well, plutonium. You put it perfectly.

BTW, your blog always makes me happy. Thanks for writing and thanks for making my day more than you know!

Friends make fun of me because I'm paranoid about the food being the right temp. etc. But that's from being raised on Pepto because my Mother didn't. She'd leave it out all night, reheat it the next day. The Pink Stuff was my best friend. Ha!

Well, I hope this doesn't mean the Thanksgiving meal is a science experiment (like it is at my lab, I mean, house...) Isn't it funny how we have introduced every chemical and antibiotic we could create into whatever was forced to stand still long enough, and it's MORE dangerous now than ever before?!
Stick to the yams.... who can't appreciate something with a big helping of broiled marshmallows?!

Dear Jill,
When you tell people Sam and Ella are coming do they think you mean salmonella?

Around here, after the bird goes in the oven, the smell of bleach takes over! Not as enticing but very sanitary.

Can you imagine trying to make a Thanksgiving dinner in that kitchen- tiny oven, no counter space- and I bet no dishwasher.
