Making Valentine Cards

Supplies included vintage cards and photos.

Just a few of the finished cards.

Vintage cards everywhere!

Lulu spent the weekend making her Valentine cards. She used old sheet music, charms, buttons, stamps, you name it! We ate little brie and apple sandwiches with apricot jam, the perfect food for this special occasion.
Do you make your own cards?

How fun!
I LOVE that mirror! It makes me happy!
When my daughter was younger we'd make cards, but the others just wanted them from the store. Boo hoo.

I don't make my own cards but I am interested in the sandwiches you were eating....sounds delish! Are they on bread?

Those are some cool cards--the vintage ones are so much cuter than the ones I buy for the boys at the five and dime.

OOOOOOOh, how I wished that I'd kept the Valentines from my childhood!!! I now have to buy the images on Etsy!!
I do love creating V-day cards or tags. What great fun you two must have had.

I would like to try making your sandwiches. Did you use a specific bread or roll...like a brioche? Could you share your recipe?

I've got my lunch (pasta salad),a cup of tea and now I'm going to read all your post I've missed.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Your daughter has the best mom in the world . . . what a dreamy weekend. I'm still available for adoption.

Those cards are wonderful, and how great to make an event of it! When my kids were little we always made a project of making valentine's - I think everyone swapping the same store bought ones is kind of ridiculous.
